Where does water go? Today it was really sunny and the 'tuff spot' got hot. We put a little puddle of water and drew a chalk line around it. Some of our children predicted that the water would disappear because the sun was hot. All afternoon we observed the puddle as it got smaller and smaller! We didn't know where the water went to though, so next week our teachers will explain it to us!

Elie's Dad is very happy with him!  He has been doing lots of things for himself at home, putting on his socks, his coat and he has been saying lots of new words.  He has also been showing his sister how to put on her shoes and her coat.  Then he told her how to take them off.  He is learning lots of things at school and is practising them at home - well done Elie!

Today we had a Valentines disco! We danced! We iced biscuits! We made Valentines cards! We had our faces painted!

As we have been learning about 2D shapes in Nursery this week, we would like you to find different shapes around your environment with your child. You can see if they can name them, count how many sides they have, how many corners they have, and you could also talk about the size of the

different shapes you see.

This week we had a visit from Mrs Harvey’s dog called Bobby. The children

watched as he fetched a ball, asked questions about him and were told how

Mrs Harvey takes care of him. Can you talk to your children this week about

Our first WOW voucher of the week .... Millie has amazed her Mommy and Daddy by spelling 'cat', 'dog' and 'mat' at the weekend.  She also typed them out on her Leap pad! Fantastic work Millie!
