Well January has gone by very fast in Nursery, which means we have been having lots of fun!!
The children chose the topic this half term, they decided they wanted to learn all about transport. We started with trains, and were able to travel on some lovely journeys to different places, one particular favourite was 'Star City'!
We then decided to learn about cars and made a garage role play, which we had lots of fun with, we fixed cars, washed them and made sure they had petrol!
We have also joined in with a special bird week, where some children got to meet a real Hawk. We have taken part in a business enterprise by making and selling lots of bird feeders. They are still on sale for 20p each!
This week we have had lots of fun celebrating Chinese New Year.
We have watched dragon and lion dances and then had a go ourselves; we had a go at Chinese writing; we played the drums and danced with ribbons; but best of all we made noodles to eat! We tried to using chopsticks too!
Welcome to Goslings!
I am Mrs Duffy your Class Teacher, key group worker for the Giraffe group. Mrs Kaur is the Learning Support Assistant, key group worker for the Tiger group.
There are lots of exciting things to look forward to this half term. We will be learning lots about colours and preparing for Christmas with fun activities. We will go on a trip to the farm to see Santa, sing some special songs for our parents and if we are good we might have a Christmas party
