Nursery

Hello and welcome to Birches Green Nursery. The staff within Nursery are; Mrs Antcliff, the class teacher, Mrs Kaur, the key worker for Chicks group, Ms Meade, the key worker for Goslings group and Mrs McMahon, the key worker for Cygnets group. In our Nursery, children thrive on learning through play. Through play children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. It is here they practise new ideas and skills, they take risks, show imagination and solve problems on their own or with others. The role that adults have is crucial. Adults provide time and space and appropriate resources.

All aboard!

This week we have been talking all about fireworks. We shared our own experiences of fireworks and why we do or do not like them! Some of us love the bright colours and the glittery sparkles in the sky, but some of us also think that fireworks can be too loud!

The children enjoyed watching a Fireman Sam video which explained to us how to stay safe around fireworks.

Fireman Sam NEW Episodes - Safety Fireworks! 🔥

The children have been challenged to create fireworks using different types of media e.g. Painting, interactive white board, IPads, sparkly material & beads and drawing. They've done an amazing job creating beautiful pictures.
